Terrorist killed in encounter in Pulwama district of J-K, weapon and war-like stores recovered
The Indian Army said that one terrorist was shot dead and weapons and war-like stores were also recovered during the joint operation. The operation is currently underway.
Pulwama encounter: An unidentified terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, said officials on Friday.
A joint operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police at New Colony in the Arihal area on the intervening night of November 30 and December 1 on specific intelligence input.
One terrorist eliminated
The Indian Army said that one terrorist was shot dead and weapons and war-like stores were also recovered from the area. However, the identity and group affiliation of the slain terrorist are yet to be known.
“On specific intelligence input, a joint operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police on the intervening night of 30 Nov-01 Dec 23 at Arihal, Pulwama. Cordon laid & contact established. 01xTerrorist has been eliminated along with the recovery of weapons and war-like stores. Search operation in progress,” Chinar Corps, Indian Army said.
