
Father-Son Duo Stabbed To Death In Delhi By Neighbour Over Monetary Dispute
A father and son were stabbed to death at a residential complex in south Delhi’s Alaknanda area by their neighbour. According to the police, the dispute occurred over monetary issues on Friday night.
The incident occurred at a flat in Tara Apartments in Alaknanda, close to Chittaranjan Park.
The deceased have been identified as 62-year-old Rakesh Sood and 27-year-old Karan Sood.
Rahul, Karan’s cousin, also sustained injuries during the attack. He is currently undergoing treatment.
The accused has been identified as Asad. The incident occurred after he returned home and argued with the victims. During the altercation, he allegedly pulled out a large knife and attacked Karan several times.
On witnessing the attack, Rakesh intervened in an attempt to save his son and was also stabbed repeatedly. The accused then fled the scene.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and spotted the father and son lying in a pool of blood. They were rushed to the Max Hospital, where doctors declared them dead upon arrival.
The police is scanning the CCTV footage and based on it, they traced Asad’s escape route and subsequently caught him.
They said that the accused went to the victims’ house with a well-planned strategy and struck Karan, Rakesh and Rahul multiple times in the neck and other parts of their bodies.
As per the preliminary investigation, the attack was due to a monetary dispute between the accused and the victims. Karan, who was involved in his father’s property business, reportedly had a fight with Asad earlier on Friday.
An FIR has been registered in the case.
