
PM Modi invites Mauritian counterpart Ramgoolam to visit India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with his Mauritius counterpart Navinchandra Ramgoolam and reiterated India’s commitment to the development priorities of Mauritius.
During a phone call on Tuesday (June 24, 2025), PM Modi invited Mr. Ramgoolam to visit India and reiterated the principle of MAHASAGAR that he had presented during his visit to Mauritius.
“Emphasising the special and unique ties between India and Mauritius, the two leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further deepen the Enhanced Strategic Partnership between the two countries. They discussed the ongoing cooperation across a broad range of areas, including development partnership, capacity building, defence, maritime security, digital infrastructure, and people-to-people ties,” said a Government of India press release.
Mr. Modi appreciated Mr. Ramgoolam’s “wholehearted participation” in the International Day of Yoga on June 21.
