Actor Huma Qureshi’s Cousin Stabbed To Death Over Parking Dispute In Delhi’s Nizamuddin

Bollywood actor Huma Qureshi’s cousin was murdered in Delhi late on Thursday, following a parking dispute. The incident happened in the Nizamuddin area of the national capital, and the deceased was identified as Asif Qureshi.

According to the details, the dispute between Huma Qureshi’s brother and the other party broke out over the parking of a two-wheeler at nearly 11 pm in the Jangpura Bhogal Bazaar lane.

The altercation soon turned violent, after which Asif was attacked with a sharp weapon.

He was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

A CCTV video of the incident showed a group of people in a lane during the altercation.

The family of the deceased alleged that there had been parking disputes between them and the other party in the past, too. However, the dispute turned ugly this time, they claimed.

“When my husband returned home from work, the neighbour’s scooter was parked in front of our house, which he asked to be removed. As an argument broke out between the two, the neighbour started abusing him and killed him with a sharp pointed object,” Asif’s wife said.

“My man has been deliberately and conspiratorially killed,” she alleged.

Also speaking to reporters, Saleem Qureshi, father of Huma Qureshi, said the altercation began after two men parked their scooter in front of Asif’s house.

“Asif asked the two men to move their scooter, which led to an argument between him and the other two men. It soon turned violent, and the two together killed my nephew,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police arrested two persons, Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18), both residents of the same lane, in connection with the case and will present them in court on Friday.

The weapon used in the crime was also recovered.

The police were also interrogating the other neighbours of the deceased’s family, along with some eyewitnesses.

Further investigations are ongoing.
