Roti khao, varna meri goli toh hai hi: PM Modi warns Pak on terror
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan, accusing it of treating terrorism as a tool of statecraft while reaffirming India’s zero-tolerance approach to terror.
Speaking at a rally in Gujarat’s Bhuj, PM Modi contrasted India’s tourism-driven vision with what he described as Pakistan’s terror-centric mindset. “India believes in tourism. Tourism brings people together. But a country like Pakistan thinks terrorism is tourism. This is a big threat for the world,” the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister also issued a stern warning to Pakistan, either to live and let live in peace or face Indian bullets. “Sukh chain ki zindagi jiyo, roti khao, warna meri goli to hai hi. (Live in peace, eat your bread quietly — otherwise, my bullet is always ready.),” he said.
Referring to the recent military offensive against Pakistan-based terror outfits, PM Modi said that Operation Sindoor made India’s policy crystal clear. “Whoever will make us bleed will see a similar response. At no cost will they be spared. Operation Sindoor is a mission to save humanity and end terrorism,” PM Modi said.
India launched Operation Sindoor on the night of May 6-7, targeting nine terror infrastructures across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK). The Indian Air Force struck key hubs linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, including the headquarters of both banned outfits.
The strikes came in response to the April 22 massacre in Pahalgam, where Pakistan-backed terrorists killed 26 people, most of them tourists.
Further in his speech, PM Modi also accused Pakistan of not taking any action against the Pahalgam massacre, asserting that terrorism is in its bread and butter.
“We waited for 15 days to see if Pakistan would take any steps against terrorism, but probably, terrorism is their bread and butter. When they did nothing, I gave our armed forces a free hand,” he said.
Claiming that Pakistan’s airbases were “still in the ICU” after India’s response, PM Modi said, “It was the valour and bravery of our forces that made Pakistan wave the white flag. We had already told them, our target was your terror infrastructure; all you had to do was stay quiet. Now that you made a mistake, you have to deal with the consequences”.
